Bounce the squash stretch trajectory

 

Put the sketch image on a plane. Position a sphere and set to local transforms. Select the ball and in properties turn on trajectories. Set keys as shown.

 

 

Contact with non-uniform stretch.

 

Note as we go along, the poles of the sphere are always being rotated to match the trajectory. Also, we have to manipulate the track view curves to make our red line trajectory in Max match the drawing trajectory.
