Reactor Alan McKay notes Go Helpers/Reactor ... Or right click on
main menu/reactor ... this can be undocked ...
Create a rigid body
collection
Add all items to
the RB Collection ...
Each one needs to
have its parameters set
Set the 2 boxes as
bounding box
And the teapot and
the plane as concave mesh [slower
but more accurate]
Let’s make the plane
unyielding so it will not move when we do our simulation.
we will give the boxes some weight, 250 and 80 kilos
... [actually, this is all in generic units] ...
teapot will be 40 kilos
To avoid problems
with intersecting bodies, we can change the reactor collision tolerance
to 0.5 in the utilities panel
Move all objects
UP a little off the plane ...
Run a preview animation ...
Hit P to play/pause ... the left
mouse rotates the entire set ...
the right mouse
btn moves individual objects , you can knock them over, etc.
R = reset. Here are the mouse
tips:
Any object
set to UNYIELDING can be key-framed ... let’s set the small box to move around and see what
happens ...
