Select these lines

Chamfer .1

Move edges here and there on the axis to match our subject as close as you can

Scale and move this guy

Target weld back here

Match some vertices at the barrel end

Chamfer this edge .1

Make a couple of cuts here. Remove any unwanted resulting edges.

Chamfer

Move back poly just a tad

Make cuts etc. Continue the process of chamfering and moving to approximately match the model.

Target weld where there are excessive vertices as the result of chamfering tight areas.

Remove unwanted edges.

Make the cuts around the trigger hole ... carefully select the right edges and pull in

The main gun body will be mirrored and welded – use Vertex Weld --then the sight and the cock will be centered, and they will each be union booleaned.

A cleanup of unwanted edges will be required. Remove edges only in flat areas.

Mapping

The map will be made first, then the UVs stretched/moved to match.

Use Box Mapping.
