Ears

Ears are a bit of work. We can use extrudes on splines, or build from a chamfer cylinder.

Delete the back vertices. Move around like this.

extrude out this guy

bridge to connect

shift drag out this edge

keep on shift dragging with nurms toggle and adjusting vertices to match the tragus

make a new cut

bridge edges to close the shape

this shows an angle ... remove any weird shapes in the back.

Now we have to shift drag edges directly back

now pull back just this selection, not a complete loop

now shift drag back these edges ... i removed a chunk i realized was in the wrong place ...

shift drag edges

more bridges

bridge this guy too ... i had to target weld a little  ... yes i know, triangles ... will fix later.

cap 3 holes

back view ... the edges around the tragus have to be extruded to make the cavity

the target welded and adjusted

check in nurms

connect so there are no polies over 4 sides

shift drag out these back edges again

collapse

cap

connect other vertices to the center

extrude adn scale in the back edges ... make sure to go to the ortho bview and adjust vertices

more of the same shift-drag and scaling of edges on the back of the ear

remove the bottom, squash and flip normals

iteration 1 using NURMS toggle ... flatten some more using scale ...

scale out these 2 loops as far as they can go, constrained to edges

go back and line up on the outer ridge

pull back ear canal
