Cartoony Dawg Editable Poly
Cartoony Dawg starts with a spline outline in the Front viewport.
To assure every line is straight I used these settings on line creation:
Convert to Editable Poly. This will fill the interior with a large poly. Make a 2 sided material and apply to the shape. This will allow you to more easily model and see both sides of the polys.
Select all the edges and shift drag on Y to make this:
Continue to build out sides to your Dawg. You will need to weld vertices as you go. Apply a mesh smooth iteration 2 as you see on the right.
Delete the large inner face, then instance mirror to generate the other side.
To get the little differentiation where the nose meets the muzzle, I made a different smoothing group for the nose and applied MeshSmooth to separate by smoothing groups.
Eye sockets are pretty simple, here shown down the stack:
Here are some eyes, just spheres.
I removed the instance on one side and applied symmetry, which welds the seam. Here is the setting:
You could now take this farther with materials, Dawg body, etc.
