Markers

Use Markers to store the transforms of a drawn tool to restore and match it if you need to draw it again.

You can recall any of these attributes; position, etc.

M = Transform/Mark Object, while the object is “active” ... will not work on a dropped object after you start drawing a new tool

Float cursor over to recall a marker ...

Click once to re-draw a new instance.

Make a torus ... rotate it and mark it ...

Exit edit so you are in Draw ... hover over and get some feed-back on where to draw a new torus at the same rotation:

There you go ...

Mark the low res skull ... just click on the M+ or hit M ...

Exit Edit mode and clear that layer ...

Hover over the middle of where the low-res skull was until you see the little marker ...

Draw out and there is a new tool replacing the old one with the same material and exact pivot point position ...

If the low res skull has not been dropped, just click on the he-res skull in the tool palette to replace it ... you don’t need a marker for that.

If a marked object has been dropped,

1 click on the marker once

2 go to move

3 move to reveal a clone of the object.

Snapshot

Draw and object, and snapshot it while editing...

Drop the object, re-activate Draw, then go into move ...

Move away and you will find a clone of the object.
