ZBrush Alpha Adjust Curve Initialize and put the Alpha Palette on a tray. Curves are compressed in AlphaAdjust; click on it to open:
Set up Simple Brush, Drag Rectangle Stroke and Toy Plastic Material; Ctrl F to fill canvas:
Drag a stroke and hit W for the move gyro:
Note – ZBrush uses 16 bit grayscale ... use TIFFS [they support 16 bit channels] for exporting your displacement maps from ZBrush. Alpha What is it? Basically a grayscale image. What is this ramp about? Black is on the Left. White is on the right. Higher values are at the top; lower values on the bottom. We
are going to fiddle with this Alpha curve. If you mess up, there is RESET
and UNDO: Click on the lower left corner and pull to the top left; and the right upper corner down:
Add a new point by a click and drag:
Add another curve; you can also “tighten” the curve by dragging on the circle:
You can make a curve go to a point if you drag it off the map and back on again without letting go; you get the curve BACK the same way:
Click on a point to ZOOM:
Focal Shift Drag it to the right and see what happens:

Switch to another Alpha Brush:
To make this setting available for future use make modified alpha; you can see it is brush 56 ... the original brush 19 is unchanged:
