NURBS Socking

We need to take these 2 parts and bring them together seamlessly, like an arm to a shoulder.

Rebuild surface tool the sphere to 8x8 UV.


Keep on right click marquee selecting isoparms and then detach surface until you can delete the one in the middle:

Rebuild surface for the cylinder ... 8 on U:

Select isoparms and Detach surface where the arm could meet up to the hole in the sphere at each of the 4 corners:

Shift select both these surfaces at the top and Attach surface:

Hit Rebuild surface:

Repeat this Attach and Rebuild surface process in the 3 other sides:

Detach here:

Attach here and Rebuild:

Detach all around so we have this:

Work your way around the sphere detaching, attaching, and rebuilding sphere surface to sphere surface.

Remember to always detach back to the original surface area after each operation.

until you have this all the way around:

Finally, apply global stitch ...

slowly increase the value if necessary to close gaps:
