VOB to AVI to Sequential files, Image Ready then Flash

This is to take a DVD and access the files so you can trace in Flash, or otherwise work with the frames.

Use something like Xilisoft DVD ripper to encode the .VOB files on the DVD.

Using AfterEffects

Make a new composition and render to sequential jpegs ... this has a very good result.

Using Combustion

Open in COMBUSTION and render the frames you want to TARGA ... right click here to add your file ...

specify range ...

Optional Image Ready step to trim unwanted files

open in image ready and check your files ...

Select the frames you want to jpeg ...

export to jpeg ...

Import images to Flash

Select the first file, and hit YES to this ...

they come in a sequence on separate frames ...

Lock the bkgrnd layer and trace on a new layer ...
