3D Model rotation in Shockwave 3D Get your pivot point right in max first ... center of object.
Shift F to see your frame edges.
Export to shockwave 3D. You only need 1 frame.
Import to Director. Drag to the stage.
Behaviors Library: Automatic Model rotation is what you want to apply. Drag and drop onto your model on the stage.
Pick the axis you want to rotate on. Z is what I want to use here ... not the same as Z up in Max.
Your model should now rotate. this rotation will only occur when the movie is played, not scrubbed.
If you can into a mess with the angle rotation, re-drag the cast member to the stage and re-apply the behavior.
Maybe a cooler thing is rotation by the mouse. Make up a name for the behavior group.
You also need a trigger. Use Mouse Left.
I chose to rotate on X ... experiment ... you can also rotate on 2 axes.
