Dragon Sky

The inner sky sphere rotates slowly to give the appearance of 2 layers of cloud motion.

Let’s set up the inner sky first, first the sphere itself ...

 

... then the material, which both have diffuse and opacity slots with very similar fractal/radial gradient ramps:

The Opacity Gradient:

The only thing that changes is the size setting and the colors ... the opacity gradient uses the default grays of a gradient ramp:

Basically set up the same way ...

 

 

 

Same as the other one ... the opacity map has the default grays ...

Only the colors and the size changes in the diffuse map:

     

That’s it! Useable in many circumstances. There will be a seam to the map. So don’t look in that direction ;-)
